Jury convicts power broker William Cellini

A federal jury in Chicago has handed down a split verdict in the extortion trial of Springfield power broker William Cellini, finding him guilty of conspiracy to commit extortion and aiding and abetting the soliticitation of a bribe. But the jurors acquitted Cellini of conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud and attempted extortion.
