Sen. Mark Kirk undergoes surgery after suffering stroke

U.S. Sen. Mark Kirk underwent surgery to relieve swelling of the brain after he began to "deteriorate neurologically" Sunday night following a stroke, his doctor today said. The stroke affected his left arm and left leg and caused some facial distortion, the doctor said.
